Well here we find ourselves already in the beginning of March. Where did 2020 go? Especially when we talk about Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. You all may feel different, but we currently live in the twilight zone. There is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Collectively, we all still have much ground to make up. In the meantime, we should all try to focus on the task at hand. We are not exactly quite sure what the precise task is, but discovery must also be part of the direction taken. Anywho…… like it, love it, or not, check out some interesting shitake here.
Ohio University Simmers
Last year, the unthinkable happened. Most colleges across the globe grinded to a halt. Classes continued, sort of, but the shutdown created a ripple effect still being realized, measured, and understood across the globe. The economic engine in our little town of Athens has never really ceased to operate and propel the city. Last year was different. Common knowledge told us that colleges and universities across the United States were approaching a crossroads. Many implemented unsustainable business models that felt the fury of the crash last year. One thing became abundantly clear; Ohio University needs to change.
Unknown Unknowns
Donald Rumsfeld receives a shout out here. He said, “There are known knowns….things we know we know….there are known unknowns….we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don’t know we don’t know.” We at Ohio University know that Rummy hails from a family deep thinkers. We know it’s unclear how deep they thought. But we also do not know if there is more to the human puzzle that is Rummy. With that hot pile of garbage we bid you farewell.
